AKA To Make His First Performing Appearance Since His Tragic Loss

AKA To Make His First Performing Appearance Since His Tragic Loss! It’s been almost a month since AKA tragically lost lost his fiance Anele Tembe in Cape Town only a few weeks after paying lobola. The rapper has been keeping a low profile having been only seen in public at Anele’s memorial service since the tragedy happened.

Two weeks after Anele’s passing, AKA put out a statement breaking his silence on the loss of the love of his life. In the statement, the rapper revealed that the tragic loss taken a great toll on him, emotionally and psychologically and speculations from the public were not making it easier. He went on to say that he had chosen to retreat to honour his journey in hopes to find clarity.

As we undergo this painful journey, I have entrusted my team to handle all of my affairs in the public domain, including all my social media platforms. Please respect our privacy as we go through our grieving process, and please continue to keep our families in your prayers,” AKA said in the statement.

Whilst he has stayed away from social media, it looks like the rapper might make a comeback to performing, end of May as he’s one of the headlining acts for the 947’s Huawei Joburg Day concert happening on the 28th. It’s unclear whether AKA had made this commitment prior to the tragedy that happened or after. If AKA made the commitment prior, there’s a possibility he might pull out of the event considering what he said in his statement. Either way fans seem excited to see SupaMega return to the stage some suggesting it might be just what he needs.
