Cruz Afrika Scores Radio Hosting Gig On Thobela FM. SAMA Award Nominee Cruz Afrika has been in the industry for some time now and has cemented himself as a voice to look out for in SA Hip Hop. The rapper is always surprising his fans with what he can do and not has a new exciting venture lined up for him!
Cruz took to twitter to announce his new and exciting radio venture. The rapper is now a co-host on Thobela FM’s new music show every Friday from 9pm to 10pm.
His tweet read, “PROUD MOMENTS/ PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT (SABC) Cruz Afrika, have scored an SABC gig on Sabc radio station Thobela fm the new music show ( Hip Hop Ka Moshate show ) ,Catch the show every Friday. 21: 00 to 22: 00 | CAT“.
The rapper is apart of a small pool of SA Hip Hop artists that have been on radio. Other artists that have been on radio are DJ Zan D and Ms Cosmo.
Cruz Afrika recently released a 7 track EP featuring the likes of Fifi Cooper, 2LA, and E.l.classic. He released the EP exclusively under his independent record label Afrika Hotlines. The rapper hasn’t mentioned if he plans to drop any music videos from the EP but fans will just have to wait and see what he has up his sleeve! The EP was produced by Bandzo, 2LA and Cruz Afrika himself amongst others and was released in March 2021.
When he dropped the tracklist for the EP he mentioned that Chad Da Don wasn’t on the EP because ‘Emtee said no’. The two had beef in 2017 and it got quite heated but they have since moved on and exploring opportunities in their careers.
