Nasty C Shares The Song From His Catalogue That He Says Defines Him

Nasty C recently featured on “Off The Porch” for an interview about his rise to fame, Zulu culture and what signing to Def Jam has meant to him. He also spoke about the challenges he had to face in the industry and he revealed that one challenge was some people trying to change his sound by having him rap in Zulu. He said it wasn’t really a challenge for him though.

The rapper was also asked if he has ever felt pressure to carry a South African sound in his music. He responded mentioning that he’s never felt that pressure and that his music is quite personal for him.

Nah, I feel like my music… I take my music as like a personal thing. You know, I’m expressing myself, so I express myself however I choose too. I’m not gonna let anyone dictate how I should do that but it was always in my plans to do a couple of verses in Zulu, I used to do this before I even got famous but I just always did it just every now and then just like having fun with it. So I did it, but it wasn’t because of what people said, I did it cause I wanted to do it type thing“, He answered.

While visiting the States, Nasty has been in the studio with star producer Zaytoven, Earthgang, Jeezy and DJ WhooKid. Him and DJ WhooKid are working on their second joint mixtape ZULU 2.
