Blxckie Reacts To One Million Views On His Breakout Single ‘Big Time Sh’lappa’. Blxckie made the leap to move to Johannesburg uncertain if his rap career would take off. To his surprise, the young rapper is one of the biggest stars in SA Hip Hop right now and is shifting the culture one song at a time.

Blxckie Explains How His Complexion Inspired His Rap Name

Blxckie‘s single Big Time Sh’lappa featuring LucasRaps was on everybody’s lips when it was first released. The two Durban natives go toe to toe on the single dropping the some of the hottest verses in a Hip Hop track. The music video for the track shot by Ntando Butho was released in October 2020 and now is celebrating the one million mark.

He took to his Instagram page to thank his followers and fans for their support of his music saying that they achieved it the organic way, independently. This is the first of Blxckie’s music videos to reach this milestone.

Blxckie stunned the SA Hip Hop community with his 13-track debut album B4Now. The track only had three features being Flvme, LucasRaps and award winning rapper Nasty C. The young rapper’s single Sika scored the fourth biggest song on the Continent and was praised by fans of the genre for the massive achievement.

In a previous interview with with MacG about his music, Blxckie mentioned that the biggest purpose for the album was to get some of his music onto digital streaming platforms and to reintroduce himself to the world. The rapper is due to release a lot more music in 2021 with a number of other artists which fans are looking forward too.

One feature that fans should keep their eyes open for is a feature with Vic Mensa. The two collaborated while Vic was visiting South Africa.
