Since winning the hip-hop TV reality show, The Hustle, in 2015, he has continued to release a series of hit songs, making a substantial contribution to the South African hip-hop culture. However, the Pablo hitmaker’s music hiatus did not please many of his fans who became deeply enamoured with his lyrical prowess and musical delivery.

Nevertheless, marking an end to his prolonged musical break, Big Star Jonhson delivered “FEDE SHO” a lead single for his forthcoming album. Taking to Instagram, the rapper announced that he will be dropping the body of work on 2 February 2024.

Adding to the anticipation, Big Star also revealed the album cover art, signalling that everything is set for the release of the “Ceaser” album. Explaining the cover art, the rapper expressed that it serves as a means of comprehending his identity, embodying his father every time he gazes into the mirror.

“OFFICIAL ARTWORK FOR MY MY SOPHOMORE ALBUM – CEASER Looking at my Father ( CEASER ) is like looking in the mirror.. it took understanding him in order to fully understand myself …This is the story of a son becoming a father and understanding his father. 02/02/24,” Big Star Johnson announced.

In an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag, the rapper conveyed that audiences can look forward to more mature music, emphasizing that fans should anticipate a diverse range of sounds, not confined to just hip-hop.

“Mature honest authentic hip hop. I think hip-hop has become overly aspirational and the truth is undervalued. This album crosses over into every style of music that I like from deep house to African jazz to soul to gospel even to amapiano. So, listeners have a lot to eat up,” said Big Star Jonhson.
