The Cotton Fest organizing team announced that the two-day event, which was originally scheduled for March 19 and 20, 2022, will therefore take place in April. It looks like the passing away of Riky Rick has changed the whole plans for the event.

Since the CotoonFest was a sold-out event and every SA hip hop and fashion lover was geared up for the event, fans have called out for more tickets sale. CottonFest fans have been pleading with organizers to increase the attendance figure on social media in response to the postponement announcement.

The organizers apologized for any inconvenience caused to fans who had already purchased tickets and may not be able to attend the revised dates.

The theme of the event is “The University of Cotton Fest,” a college atmosphere for all festival attendees who will have the opportunity to see over 100 South African musicians and DJs act on three different stages.
