He has shared on his Instagram stories that on Sunday, he will be performing in Nelspruit.

AKA was scheduled to perform at the virtual Huawei Joburg Day 2021 but withdrew from the lineup days before the scheduled event. In a statement, released at the time, by AKA’s management company, The T-Effect, it was announced that the rapper would not be a part of the annual show.

The statement in part read “The Hip-Hop mega star has elected to step back from the musical eventing space because he is currently in a space where he feels it is necessary to place a greater emphasis on looking after his physical and emotional well-being. Furthermore, out of respect for current social conversation about him, in the public domain, he has chosen to take the necessary time out for self-introspection and healing so that he can adequately address all the pertinent issues in due course.”
