Another One! Nasty C Nominated For A BET Award

Another One! Nasty C Nominated For A BET Award. Once again rapper, Nasty C has been nominated for a BET Hip Hip Award in the Best International Flow, a category he is no stranger to. This is Nasty C’s third time being nominated for Best International Flow. The category celebrates rappers with dope flows from around the globe.

Nasty C is not the only African artist nominated, Nigeria’s Ladipoe has also been nominated. The South Ah rapper is also up against, Xama from Brazil, Laylow and Gazo from France and the UK’s Dave and Gazo. In 2020, lost out the coveted award to Britain’s popular rapper Stormzy. Could this nomination be the rapper’s lucky charm and have him actually walk away with the award. The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards are set to take place on October 5.

The Zulu Man With Some Power has earned himself a solid reputation in South Africa for being one of the country’s best rappers. Earlier this year he walked away with Best Hip Hop Album at the 27th annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs). In an interview with a Kenyan talk show, Chatspot the rapper shared a bit about what awards mean to him.
“Awards to me as Nasty C don’t really mean that much right. I value them because they mean the world to my fans because my fans are the guys that sit at home and they watch the whole show, my fans are the ones that use their own airtime to vote for me and stuff like that.”

The rapper also shared that he is not too invested in awards as he is being judged by someone who might not understand his creative process. “But for me, I’m not going to let someone who doesn’t make music, doesn’t understand what it takes for me to make a song, doesn’t understand the hours that I put into making these songs and the emotion that I put into it, me sharing my personal stories. I’m not going to let that person judge how good my music is against some other guy who I don’t even know.”
