Emtee Reacts to Receiving So Much Love Amid The SA Hip Hop Awards Voting. Emtee is appreciative to his fans for their support; Logan has been a tremendous hit, and he gives the credit to the people. In the recent SA Hip Hop Awards Nominees List, the Roll Up chanter has been nominated for the Best Album of the Year, Artist of the Decade Award and the Best Male of the Year.

With the voting lines now open for the South African Hip Hop Awards, is this Emtee showing gratitude to the fans that have been voting for him? The Matatiele born rapper mentioned that he never doubted the love and support that he got. “Never doubted the love from the masses. Ever!” Emtee tweeted.

From the look of things, it seems like Emtee is one of the potential winners for the Best Male Award. But with the voting lines still opening we don’t know who will end up leading the chase as he is contesting with the likes of Big Zulu, 25K, Costa Titch, and Blxckie who have been tremendously vocal in the game. Nonetheless, its clear Emtee got a tough competition from the mentioned hip hop rivals, but he has so much belief that his fans will come through for him as always.

Even though Emtee’s fans are rooting for him to cop the Best Male Hip Hop Award of the Year, its not their votes that counts. Rather their votes will only carry 40% and the rest will be decided by the judges. This came out after RashidKay responded to a tweet that reads; “The masses can’t be trusted.”

RashidKay highlighted why the masses are only allowed 40% of the votes; “See why we limit them to 40%?” RashidKay tweeted.

Mthembeni ‘Emtee’ Ndevu released his debut album as an independent artist under his own record label, Emtee Records, after departing from record company Ambitiouz Entertainment in a contentious split in 2019. His new titled album LOGAN maintains Emtee’s tradition of naming his albums after the individuals that mean the most to him.

His debut album, Avery, won the Album of the Year Award at the SA Hip hop Awards in 2016. In the previous year (2015), “Roll Up” won the Song of the Year.
