Tumi Tladi joined the list of tragic losses in 2022, and the details surrounding his death remain undisclosed. His passing has had a profound impact, touching not only his family and friends but also leaving a void in the music industry. Loki from Skanda World is among the industry peers deeply saddened by his departure.

The famed rapper penned a song titled Dearly Beloved which has gained a massive reception amongst his fans. Taking to Twitter (X), Loki took time to give context to the song stating that he wrote it after he heard of the passing of his industry peer Tumi Tladi.

The “Shoda Ngami” chanter tearfully shared that he composed the collaboration in under an hour while sitting in the car. He conveyed a deep connection with fellow rappers who have also departed, expressing a profound sense of empathy for their struggles.

“I wrote this less than a hour after sobbing in the car , having heard Tladi was no more ….the way he left hurt me because I’d been having “that” conversation with a few other musicians….tellin them to keep fighting a good fight …” Loki wrote.

Even though Loki wrote a poignant and emotionally charged track, his music has garnered a positive reception from his audience. Nevertheless, the rapper remains highly ambitious and firmly believes that he deserves recognition as one of the top rappers in South Africa.

“Got a lot on my mind bro , the reality show kinda pushed me somewhere I had to rap my way out of ….couldn’t “sing” my way out of the murmurs. And nje I haven’t been in the “best rapper” conversation in a young , where as I feel I’m one of them in my own right,” Loki said.
