Priddy Ugly Opens About ‘Lerato’ Who Is Mentioned A Few Times In His “MUD” EP. At a time when SA hip hop needed all the major players in the game to come through to save the culture, Priddy Ugly is one of the rappers who delivered one of the most talked about projects so far.

The rapper’s pen game on his body of works has received massive praise from his fanbase. Taking to Twitter, one of Priddy Ugly’s followers asked him about the person called Lerato whom he mentioned on a few times in some of his songs on the EP.

“yo@ItsPriddyUgly if you don’t mind me asking, who’s Lerato bro you keep mentioning her quite a few times on your MUD EP, especially on the first two songs.” Read the tweet. Responding to the question, the rapper revealed that Lerato was his partner whom he was with from grade 7-10 but she passed away in a car accident with her parents in 2007.

“She was my partner, was with her from grade 7-10.. she passed away in a car accident along with her parents back on ‘07. Reference Ambition on YDKM.” Priddy Ugly responded.

In the song 30 Minutes to Soweto, the rapper mentioned the name Lerato in one of his verses saying; “Lerato passed away before she stepped into stilettos.”

Priddy Ugly also mentioned Lerato in the song Heaven Gates where he featured lordkez and Bontle. In his raps, the rapper said; “ When Lerato passed away I was dazed for hella days We would set our dates on Saturdays The day she passed away, as it may was an April Saturday I couldn’t grab a plate or salad taste
In pain, my bladder ached Lord, I would pray she had a break 15 years later got an angel half my age
It’s a shame in a grave she had to lay Memories on my brain is how I saved her database.”

The rapper has delivered real raps in his body of works and he did not work alone, but the likes of Zoocci Coke Dope and other rappers also made it possible.
