Taking to Twitter, AKA who is a close friend and peer of Yanga Chief and Rich Mahogany praised the two for the creation of the documentary. The Supa Mega went on and emphasized that telling the South African stories is very important and that is what the said artists have done.

Congratulations on the release of your #16V documentary lads … @ItsYangaChief @Rich_Mahog … telling our own stories is so crucial.” Tweeted AKA. Prior to the release of Doctor Khumalo’s documentary, Yanga Chief released a single title Mdogish featuring Tman Xpress which is a tribute to the South African soccer legend Doctor Khumalo.

Yanga Chief went on to respond to AKA’s compliments, expressing his gratitude. “Dankie Forbes,” tweeted Yanga.

The documentary details significant events including the 1996 African Cup of Nations, his time playing in the US and his legendary career with Kaizer Chiefs, as well as his upbringing and early years spent playing soccer under the apartheid rule.

Khumalo shares his own narrative in the documentary alongside commentary and recollections from former teammates, ex-football players, politicians, celebrities, and media figures.
