“This is history!” Blaq Diamond Wins Court Case Against Ambitiouz Entertainment. Blaq Diamond is living proof that there is always calm after the storm, as they finally overcome the wrath of their former record label, Ambitouz Ent.

The Durban-native music duo left Ambitiouz Entertainment last year to launch their own label, Umuthi Records. However, their songs were still being held by the former record company due to purported contractual obligations. The matter was taken to court and Blaq Diamond came out as the victors.

The duo proclaimed their victory on their YouTube channel, claiming that their victory is historic in the South African music industry. “We have incredible news and we just came from the court and we came back with a W with a win,” said Blaq Diamond.

“This is a game changer for the music industry, especially to all those artists that signed contracts that are very not like okay or say fair contracts.” Blaq Diamond said in the video why they had to go legal in order to break free from the confines of their former record label.

“Dont know if people have been following along the way things were happening. So we would drop music and then our previous record label would just go out there on YouTube and try to take down our music claim copyrights. Basically, that’s why we took them to court after we legally ended our relationship with them last year.“

Unlike other artists who have been in the same situation with Ambitiouz, Blaq Diamond said they didn’t want to be verbal about their battle with record the label. Rather they opted to do things the legal way. “we were not really verbal about it because we just wanted to do things in the right way, we had to struggle in our pockets. We dont like talking too much, we had to go through this process instead of going on social media and talking in all those caps.

“We didn’t want to drive this thing with an emotional pace, it doesn’t work like that. You need to follow the procedure, go through all the papers, do things in an according way and make sure you have a team guys,” Blaq Diamond said.
