“In loving memory” – Raphael Benza Congratulates AKA On Afrimma Award Win. It was a bittersweet moment at this year’s African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) as Raphael Benza congratulated the late rapper AKA on his outstanding award win.
The AFRIMMA Awards, which honour and celebrate the best in African music and entertainment, took place at the prestigious Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. Even during his absence, AKA shone brightly as he took home the coveted “Best Male Southern Africa” award.
Raphael Benza, who worked with the late rapper for a long period, stood in to accept the award on his behalf. He took to Instagram to extend his congratulations to the Supa Mega for this remarkable accomplishment, showcasing how even in his absence, the artist continues to achieve greatness.

Not only did Raphael Benza pour his heart following AKA’s Afrimma win, but he also took time to congratulate Nadia Nakai who also walked away as the winner on the night.
