Not only has he consistently released chart-topping music, but the award-winning artist has also successfully filled large stadiums across the nation including the gigantic FNB Stadium.
As the nation approached Heritage Weekend, the renowned Nigerian sensation Burna Boy was all set to captivate a capacity crowd at FNB Stadium. However, the music concert has been postponed due to a range of unforeseen circumstances.
Taking to Twitter (X), Cassper Nyovest‘s manager Boss TLee praised the effort by the promoters behind Burna Boy’s FNB concert. TLee said that it’s not an easy task to put together an African music concert, he however praised his artist Cassper Nyovest for being able to achieve the unexpected when he filled FNB Stadium in 2017.
“S/O to promoter for having will to attempt Burna at FNB stadium. Few things. 1. These cancellations happen globally 2. FNB stadium is serious work, we can’t take for granted whet Cassper did. 3. African shows in general are mad difficult to put together, respect #AfricanThrone,” wrote TLee.
According to SundayWorld, Burna Boy‘s concert was postponed after the Nigerian superstar fired his sound team as well as low ticket sales. “They had a problem with the company that offers them sound which is the biggest sound company in Africa. Burna Boy fired them on Monday night and they had to replace them with another company from North West which does not have the required capacity to do the show,” a source told SundayWorld.
