Wordz Weighs In On CashTime Vs. TWC Generational Debate

Recently, social media was awash with the debate on which SA hip-hop group had much influence on the game between CashTime and TWC. Drawing from the talent possessed by these two groups, it’s unsurprising that to this very day, the debate remains unresolved and, quite possibly, will never find a conclusive resolution.

During an interview on Slikour On Life, Wordz, who was also a member of TWC, was called upon to express his personal perspective on the enduring discussion surrounding these two renowned hip-hop camps and their influence on the game.

The Pretoria-based stated that the debate will persist indefinitely because both factions have exerted varying degrees of influence on the rap culture, albeit at different moments in time. “I think it will be an ongoing debate because there are old people, old heads who like CashTime, there are new people that like TWC,” he said.

“So no matter what anybody says, whether CashTime or TWC, the debate will be ongoing because we all had an impact. Maybe others would have maybe had an impact on the dressings or whatever, but the impact was there and till today’s impact is here. So we can’t disregard TWC.

CashTime, I won’t disregard that you know, they were so amazing, Caracara I used to hear those stuff and at that time we were looking at them, we were not even in the game. So people need to also consider that,” Wordz added.
