Bragga has revealed plans to dedicate a body of work to her late partner, AKA, with a new single featuring Zakes Bantwin and Shekhinah already in the works.
Taking to Twitter (X), Nadia Nakai teased fans with a sneak peek of her upcoming track titled “Missing You.” The song incorporates a notable line from AKA’s hit single ‘Fela In Versace,’ released back in 2018. The sentimental snippet was shared on Saturday 10 February a day she also remembered 1 year since AKA tragically passed away.
Last month, Nadia released the lead single from her upcoming album, titled ‘Never Leave,’ featuring Kash CPT. With the two songs she’s unveiled so far, it’s evident that Nadia’s sound diverges significantly from her trademark rap style. The renowned rapper has not yet revealed the release date of her latest single, but it’s certain that her fans can anticipate another dose of soothing music from Bragga.
Bragga made it known that the album is going to be spiritual and fans should expect different sonics from her. “When you do hear the project, it’s gonna sound very different from what you probably expected from me as Nadia Nakai the rapper.
“I think I’ve learnt a lot this year when it comes to music and just being an artist and collaborating and having workshops and writing camps and I really delved into stuff like that. So my project will sound extremely different but exciting too, it’s not piano,” she said.
