Blxckie Shares His Best Experiences Touring The USA
Blxckie Shares His Best Experiences Touring The USA. Following an exhilarating US tour with Dreamville rapper Bas for the album “We Only Talk About Real Sh*t When We’re F*cked Up” Blxckie and Bas are nearing the end of their tour, culminating with their final show scheduled in New York on April 9th.
During an interview with YouTuber K-Wonder, Blxckie seized the moment to discuss his most memorable experience in the United States of America. “All of it is new to me you know, the best city probably LA was dope, Santa Ana that’s like California,” Blxckie said.
Blxckie confessed that it took him some time to adapt to performing nearly every night, but eventually, he acclimated and became comfortable in the environment. “It took a while for me to get used to like you know being on stage almost every night. So it was just a weird thing to get used to and I think by the time I got to County I was pretty much okay,” he added.
Addressing the disparity between performing in America and South Africa, Blxckie remarked that in the US, he feels like an underground artist and he’s proving himself compared to when he’s in front of his loyal fans back home in South Ah where he has gained the fans’ support and love.
“I’m basically like an underground artist, so every performance I’m proving myself. I feel like it is working, like there’s a different way to perform so definitely when I get back it’s going to be different, it’s going to be back home to my people. It’s going to be a little weird to get used to,” Blxckie said.
Beyond immersing himself in the music and hip-hop scene in the USA, Blxckie also relished exploring various culinary offerings from diverse cultures across America. “For me, Chipotle is like up there but then I’ve been trying other different things, anything just like Jamaican, I’ve been trying that, all the Brazilian spots, like the rice with the curries and stuff that’s what I’m about, they do it well,” he said.
