Zola 7 Reportedly Reunites With Ghetto Ruff Record Label Owner Lance Stehr
Zola 7 Reportedly Reunites With Ghetto Ruff Record Label Owner Lance Stehr. Kwaito legend Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini and Lance Stehr, owner of the iconic Ghetto Ruff record label, are putting their differences aside for a fresh start.
After a very public falling out in 2008, Zola 7 is back under the Ghetto Ruff umbrella to reignite his career. The pair had a tumultuous split, with Zola accusing Stehr of exploiting him financially. However, recent reports indicate Zola reached out, and they’ve patched things up.
A source told TshishaLIVE that Zola 7 is working together with Lance Stehr so that he can revive his music career. “They first parted ways when people started telling Zola things in his ear, but he’s always needed Ghetto Ruff. Now he is healthier they have started working again,” the source said.
Zola’s decision to reignite his connection with Ghetto Ruff stems from his upcoming plans to drop his smash hit “Ghetto Fabulous” on June 16th, followed by the digital release of his revered “Bhambatha” album on June 18th, exactly two decades after its initial debut in 2004.
Before reconnecting with Lance, Zola 7 and the record label owner hadn’t been on good terms. The Kwaito star had been vocal about his discontent, accusing Lance Stehr of ruining numerous careers in a fiery tirade.
“Lance has got a special place in hell, next to the hottest coals, that’s where he is going to burn. He has destroyed so many people it’s not even funny,” Zola 7 said during an interview on Podcast And Chill.
