During a recent interview, the Durban hitmaker was asked the question fans have been repeating for months: when is the joint project with Young Stunna finally dropping?

Blxckie answered with calm honesty. “Maybe after 3rd quarter. It’s up to him; he’s got a project coming out, I’ve got a project coming out. Straight after, we might do the joint one.”

The statement gives supporters a rough window to circle on their calendars. With the third quarter of 2026 spanning July to September, the collaboration could realistically land toward the end of the year or even early 2027, depending on how both artists roll out their solo releases.

Their creative chemistry is already proven. The pair first shook the country with the multi-platinum smash “SETE” alongside K.O, a crossover anthem that blurred the lines between hip hop and amapiano and became a cultural touchstone across Mzansi.

More recently, they reunited on “alupheli,” a standout from Blxckie’s February 2026 project 4LUV2: B4YENA. The R&B-leaning tape showcased a softer, more vulnerable side of Blxckie, while Young Stunna’s warm, melodic delivery elevated the record with his unmistakable amapiano flair. The song and its visual treatment drew praise for how seamlessly their styles intertwined.

Rumours of a completed seven-track EP have circulated since 2025, with Young Stunna previously hinting that the material was sitting in the vault. For now, though, both artists appear focused on their individual runs before merging forces.

Blxckie has kicked off 2026 at full speed, dropping 4LUV2 and teasing more music, including a collaborative tape with K1llbrady and his sophomore studio album. Young Stunna continues to dominate the amapiano circuit while selectively stepping into hip hop spaces that highlight his versatility.

If their schedules align the way Blxckie suggested, the joint project could become one of the defining South African releases of late 2026, pairing Blxckie’s melodic trap instincts with Young Stunna’s stadium-ready energy.
