Roiii Announces The Return Of Freestyle Fridays After Hiatus

Roiii Announces The Return Of Freestyle Fridays After Hiatus. Roiii has officially brought back one of his most anticipated fan traditions, announcing the return of his Freestyle Fridays series with the kind of energy only he could deliver.

The rapper took to social media to sound the alarm, declaring, “RING THE ALARM! 🚨🚨🚨🔥 FREESTYLE FRIDAYS ARE BACK! 🖤 This has been LONG overdue!”
Roiii also credited @maggiie.rs for encouraging him to revive the series, adding, “I appreciate you! 🙌🏽” before slipping straight into his signature humour and swagger.
“With that being said… I’M SWAGGERLECIOUSE! Apparently 🌝😂😂😂🖤 KE LE RATA DZOWN!” he wrote, embracing the playful personality that has become part of his appeal. He then gave fans a clear date to circle: “See you next Friday. 🫵🔥”
For longtime supporters, the announcement carries more weight than a simple social media update. Freestyle Fridays have become a key part of Roiii’s creative identity, giving him a space to experiment with flows, sharpen his lyricism and deliver raw performances without the polish of a traditional single release.
Across previous editions, the series has allowed the rapper to move between Motswako-inspired flows, drill influences, clever wordplay and spontaneous moments that showcase his personality. Some of those freestyles have gone on to become fan favourites and eventually official releases, including “Nun But a Number” featuring Keeme Molapo.
The series has gone quiet at different points as Roiii turned his attention to larger projects, but its absence only made the weekly drops more anticipated among fans who had grown accustomed to the ritual.
This comeback announcement feels unmistakably Roiii. It is loud, playful and confident, but also carries a sense of appreciation for the people who pushed him to bring the series back.
There was no new freestyle attached to the announcement, meaning fans will have to wait until next Friday to hear what Roiii has been cooking.
