Ginger Trill & ZuluMecca Gear Up For Joint EP Release

Ginger Trill & ZuluMecca Gear Up For Joint EP Release. South African hip-hop could be heading towards another exciting collaboration, with two of its most compelling lyricists preparing to join forces for a full project. Ginger Trill and ZuluMecca’s long-anticipated joint EP is officially complete, according to Stay Low executive Vaughn Thiel.

Taking to X, Stay Low record label executive Thiel confirmed that the project is finished and hinted at plans to release it before the end of November. “Okay, @ginger_trill x @ZuluMecca joint EP done. Let’s drop it before November ends @StayLowOfficial 🐐,” he wrote.

The announcement brings an exciting development to a collaboration that has been building through their previous musical encounters. The two rappers have already demonstrated their chemistry on tracks such as “Big 5”, which appeared on Ginger Trill’s 2025 project Because I Said So, and “Hope It Gives You Hell”, featured on ZuluMecca’s 2026 album The Limit Does Not Exist.

Their previous collaborations offered a glimpse of what happens when Ginger Trill’s calculated delivery and culturally rich storytelling meet ZuluMecca’s fearless approach to lyricism and genre-bending creativity. A full-length joint effort now allows both artists to explore that chemistry on a much bigger scale.

Ginger Trill has steadily built a reputation as one of South African hip-hop’s dependable wordsmiths. The Potchefstroom-born rapper has continued to sharpen his craft through projects such as From Potch With Love, Burn After Reading: The B.A.R Album and Because I Said So, maintaining a strong presence through his penmanship and distinctive approach to storytelling.

ZuluMecca, meanwhile, has carved out her own lane as an award-nominated rapper and actress. With releases including WEPT., SEAMS. and this year’s The Limit Does Not Exist, she has continued to demonstrate her versatility while challenging the boundaries of her artistry.

The upcoming EP also arrives at an interesting time for both artists, particularly as Stay Low continues to provide a home for distinctive voices within the local hip-hop landscape.

Although details surrounding the project’s title, tracklist and official release date remain unknown, Thiel’s announcement confirms that the music is ready. If everything goes according to plan, listeners could have the joint effort in their hands before November comes to a close.

With the creative work officially complete, anticipation now shifts towards Stay Low’s next move and the moment Ginger Trill and ZuluMecca finally bring their collaborative vision to the public.
