Proverb Shares How HHP Teaching Him To Rap In Afrikaans Impacted His Music Career

Proverb Shares How HHP Teaching Him To Rap In Afrikaans Impacted His Music Career. Proverb and late rapper Jabba also known as HHP were fortunate enough to find each other as more than just two rappers but friends.

While serving in the Hip hop scene the award winning stars taught each other a few things that influenced their careers.

A fan recently pulled out a video of Proverb rapping in Afrikaans which sounds like something hard to do if you not fluent. Luckily for Verb he had Jabba teach him a few things about rapping in Afrikaans. Commenting on the video he gave credit to the rapper who passed on from suicide.

“Interesting fact, that was my friend Jabba’s idea. He was always on my case about using that Kimberley miltilinguistics to advantage. I was never sure how it would be received or if it would be understood,” wrote Proverb.

Adding to means of keeping his legacy alive Proverb created a YouTube video to share the process of writing and the journey of his rap with his fans.

“Found the original rhyme pad housing all the scribbles, ideas and concepts which would eventually make my debut album The Book of ProVerb 2005, including pieces that didn’t make the cut, jingles, and feature verses that were written around that time.”
