From Hip Hop Group’s To Solo Artist’s. Things have changed since back in the day when hip hop groups were cool but were thankful as they have managed to give way to the dope solo acts that soon followed after.
Let’s take a look at some of the rappers that first came on the scene as a part of a collective and have since mastered the trade of being a solo artist
Khuli Chana
Khuli Chana was a member of the rap group Morafe, but has since went on to create a name for himself in the game as a solo entity and a Motswako rapper.
K.O
K.O was part of the multi award winning rap trio Teargas and since the group went their separate ways, Mr Cashtime has since been making bank as a solo artist and entrepreneur.
Stogie T
The godfather of rape Stogie T first came on the scene as a proud member of the group ‘Tumi And The Volume’ and he has since laid a solid foundation as a hip hop mentor and a distinguished rapper.
Zingah
Previously known as Smashis, the former Cashtime Fam band member took a sabbatical from the rap game to reinvent himself and lets just say, it was well worth it.
Da Les
The former Jozi member has since become an iconic figure in the hip hop game with his too fresh swag and lyrics which we will be getting more of as he has confirmed to be working on some new music.
AKA
AKA first made a name for himself as a member of the legendary group Entity and flying solo, the Mega has managed to achieve legendary status.
Zulu Mkhathini
Formerly known as Dash, the former Dreamteam member who has a new single with Moonchild Sanelly, has also spread his wings on to the media space as well as the fashion industry with his undeniable drip.
L-Tido
L Tido was a part of the Glitz Gang back in his rookie days but since becoming a solo act, the rapper has gone on to do very well for himself including being nominated for hip hop awards.
