Rashid Kay Challenges Ntsiki Mazwai On Views That American Media Don’t Tribute SA Late Legends Like SA Did To Kobe Bryant. The death of the late NBA star Kobe Bryant has not only showered people with sorrow but evoked intense debates.

While most were paying tribute to the star poet Ntsiki Mazwai decided to raise a view of how South African media is doing something the American media rarely if never does to SA stars. In the list of people who challenged her was Rashid Kay.

“Which political organizations in America released press statements about the death of Senzo Meyiwa or even Winnie Mandela. Press statement dedicated specifically to them. Or are we led by groupies of America??” Wrote Ntsiki.

Rashid retweeted by delivering links to the articles LA Times and New York Times covered on the likes of Lucky Dube, Brenda Fassie and Ace Ntsoentsoelong.

Some felt Ntsiki was misunderstood by the rapper and was advised to read to understand not to reply, as one would expect Rashid hit back.

Kobe Bryant has been the most talked about celebrity of late following his passing with daughter Gigi on a plane crash. The crash claimed 7 other lives. As a prominent figure SA media covered a wide range of news concerning his passing and how he lived.
