The likes of Stogie T, Proverbs, Priddy Ugly, Zakwe and others have been in the conversation for being amongst the SA rappers who have the best pen game in SA Hip Hop. However, some SA Hip Hop fans believe that Zingah is one of the rappers whose pen game is not appreciated.

Taking to Twitter (X), Zingah received flowers from a fan who expressed that the rapper has immense skill when it comes to songwriting. “Dawg your pen?! I don’t think it’s appreciated enough @Zingah_LOTJ,” read the post.

In response, the Dladla chanter admitted to the remarks, stating that he believes he is one of the best lyricists in SA Hip Hop. “I have one of the best pens in the game if we keeping it a bean. Especially when you consider the range,” Zingah said.

Despite asserting himself as one of the premier lyricists in SA Hip Hop, Zingah decided to retire from music two years ago in the wake of Riky Rick’s passing. However, he continues to exert a significant influence on the SA Hip Hop scene through his podcast, “Choppin It With Budha T,” where he engages with esteemed rappers and cultural influencers in discussions about the direction and evolution of the culture.
