Reason Speaks On The Use Of Explicit Content By Amapiano. At this point SA Hip hop is slowly competing against Amapiano genre which has dominated all media sectors.
It may not be a threat at this moment but some rappers are fusing it on their music while others are pointing out their questionable views of it.
Reason recently made a comment based on the genre and its profanity. He wrote that the clean songs from Amapiano aren’t popular and on radio. The songs that are popular have an explicit content.
“That’s not entirely true. outside of media (radio & tv) I mostly hear Amapiano at parties. Where people are all about Sex, drugs & alcohol. I only hear the “clean” joint when I research. Don’t you think that maybe it’s cause the explicit shit is easier to make & sell?” – Reason.
He then clarified the correlation between Hip hop and Amapiano.
“But No one said anything about wrong. I even laid out common ground between us by referring to hip hop having a similar misconceptions. Its possible that she likes the music, but struggles to enjoy it beyond the explicit lyrics you know. Some people feel this way about rap too,” he added.
