The British singer, rapper and actress, Little Simz was born Simbi Ajikawo on 23 February 1994 in Islington, London. She describes her music as rap and experimental. She is signed to the independent label, AGE: 101 Music. In June 2009, she joined the supporting cast in the BBC show, Spirit Warriors for the role of Vicky. She released her debut album, A Curious Tale of Trails + Persons on 18 September 2015. The album entered the UK R&B Albums Chart at number 20 and the UK Indie Albums Chart at number 43. There is no doubt that the 22-years-old British singer, rapper and actress is definitely an act to look out for in the music industry.

1. Little Simz was born Simbi Ajikawo on 23 February 1994 in Islington, London.

2. She went on to attend St Mary’s Youth Club in Upper Street, Islington, where pop stars Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke also attended.

3. She later studied at Westminster Kingsway College and pursued her music career from there.

4. In June 2009, she joined the supporting cast in the BBC show, Spirit Warriors for the role of Vicky.

5. In 2012, she joined the cast of E4 (TV channel)’s TV series Youngers as Meleka.

6. She also performed at the BBC 1Xtra Prom 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall, alongside a full orchestra led by Jules Buckley.

7. She can be heard on the Leave to Remain film soundtrack, performing the song “Leave It As That”.

8. She has performed alongside Estelle, Tinie Tempah and Ms. Dynamite.
