The aggression, anger, attitude and egos are the forefront of this sport, as everyone proclaim atop titles such as ” King Of New York ”. Who don’t wanna be Jordan of this rap game?  This is place where the voice of the voiceless are acknowledged, powerful songs such as ‘‘keep your heads up, ‘’Brenda’s got a babe’’ validates and voices the voices of the community. Everyday life hip hop provides a cultural identity, the walk, the talk, the swag, and attitudes, all form part of this system. Hip hop is a massive movement of the era, growing in libs and bounds in every country. The world has become a global village of this movement, it cannot be denied that we speak the same language which is ‘Hip Hop’. Hip Hop is a culture on its own that incorporates ethnicity, art, politics, fashion, technology and urban life.

Its more than a culture, Nas can make you go back to the roots and learn about your African roots, while Common can drop you unquestionable knowledge, and Immortal your existence. Hip hop means life, and  majority finds shelter through this system. Hip hop music is relatable, its cleansing to see one from the jungle make something out of nothing ‘from Marcy to Madison square’. This is an attest to young black men that you can achieve everything in life if you believe. The former rhyme and reason hip hop presenter Tbo touch once said ‘’ Hip Hop taught me how to fly, to turn scars into stars’’. Hip Hop is the father figure to rap, battles, dance, graffiti, beat-boxers, beat-makers and producers, and meaning is found through these elements. If it wasn’t for hip hop, there wouldn’t be the Biggies and the Pacs. What would life be without hip hop?

Without any doubt, Hip Hop is sort of messianic since it has saved many lives. Fam feeds their fam through hip hop. undoubtedly one nation is under this cultural movements, urban clothing, lingo, lifestyle, music etc. In recent years, big companies noticed this cultural movement as a way to talk to their consumers with their brand by instill bit of hip ho-pic elements to their brands such as endorsing rappers, graffiti and dance to mark their market. In today’s commercial world, hip-hop has even gone so far as to represent various companies and products. Everyday life in hip hop assures one’s purpose in life, this is indeed true religion with no boundaries. I find myself asking this rhetorical question ” what would life be without hip hop?
