Moozlie Responds To Criticism Over Selecting DJ Double D For Women’s Month Tour

South African rapper and television personality, Nomuzi Mabena, better known as Moozlie, found herself at the centre of controversy. This came after she went on a tour for a Women’s Month celebration with a male DJ, DJ Double D.

The rapper has faced criticism for opting to collaborate with a male DJ instead of choosing to work alongside a female DJ during a special month dedicated to women. “I won’t lie… seeing the other female rapper doing a tour in Women’s Month with a male DJ disappointed me tbh.” Read the post.

In response, Moozlie stated that people should let her know if there is a female DJ who is capable of doing what DJ Double D can do since she has been on the lookout for one. “Always weird how people do these posts like they don’t know us in real life but anyway… if you know a female DJ that can do all the things Dub can do I’ll her TODAY!! Will come back & check this post later cos I been looking.” Wrote Moozlie.

In an effort to justify her choice, the renowned rapper proceeded to request Double D to provide his CV as evidence of the esteemed DJ’s top-tier status in the industry.

Following the conclusion of the Women’s Month Tour, DJ Double D took to Twitter to convey his appreciation for the privilege of co-hosting the tour alongside Moozlie. “This past month I had the honour of doing a very special Woman’s Month Tour with The Baddest in the game, @nomoozlie ! S/O to everyone that pulled up & showed love! The vibes were just right ! A very special S/O to @moozlie & her dope team!” Tweeted DJ Double D.
