50 Cent recently gave his thoughts on the album and said that he thinks the album is not relatable to the younger generation. This is because of the classical feel that the album has. The  album has a number of songs with a jazz sound incorporated into them.

Despite the negativity, the album went platinum on it’s first day of sales certifying Jay Z’s legendary Hip Hop status. “4:44” might not be relatable to the youth but is a timeless body of work.
