‘Myself And Okmalumkoolkat Created Gqom Wave’ Says Stilo! Stilo Magolide and Okmalumkoolkat have been doing Gqom for quite some time now. “When I was rapping on Gqom music, Skybar was still open in Durban,” said Stilo.
The rapper recently claimed that they are the ones who created Gqom wave in a recent interview. “Myself and Okmalumkoolkat Created Gqom Wave, which is like rapping on Gqom beat,” said Stilo. Stilo went on to say that “We are the originators, If we were vampires we would be the originals,” referring himself and his fellow Boyz n Bucks member Okmalumkoolkat.
The Gqom wave has been one of the most important sounds to the music culture in SA for a while now. Being the one’s who started the wave is something that the rapper takes pride in.
