SABC Responds To BCCSA’s R20k Fine Over Cassper’s Fill Up DVD ! SABC has responded to the BCCSA for the fine that they were recently given after a viewer complained about the vulgar language that was used at the concert.
SABC apologized to the complainant for the misunderstanding. “Our producuers were so passionate about showing the success of this young musicician to an extent that some regulatory mandates were bypassed,” said SABC. They blamed it on excitement to be promoting the Hip Hop culture in South Africa.
The statement made by SABC went on to say “We sincerely apologize to the complainant for any inconvenience caused and we are doing what we can to make sure that we minimise these kinds of incidents in our platforms”.
