Yugen Blakrok Explains Why She Get’s More Gigs Internationally! A lot of South African’s were surprised to hear the name Yugen Blakrok being mentioned as one of the SA rappers who is featured on The Black Panther Album.

Before the Black Panther album most of the SA Hip Hop fans did not know that the rapper even existed. In a recent interview she was asked if the reason she wasn’t popular in South Africa was that South Africa was sleeping on her.

“It just happened like that man when we dropped our first album we got the biggest response from outside of SA. You Know, and we are an independent label we doing all our stuff on the net, you know we pretty much up until now bypassed radio and TV, all this other mass stuff that you can get on,” responded Yugen Blakrok.

She went on to say “It’s not out of lack of trying, we have, but you can say we kind of have been forced to find your own way around the industry itself so when the interest from international people, artists from different countries did pop up we kind of felt like alright we can just go there.”
