KidX Lauds Makwa’s New Album “Makwande.” The South African hip-hop scene has experienced an outpouring of dedication and effort from rap artists, marked by a multitude of albums and projects that have been unleashed this year.

With less than 100 days remaining in 2023, several other rappers have yet to release their albums as promised. Nevertheless, in an effort to honour his commitment to unveil an album this year, Makwa delivered a 22-track masterpiece titled “Makwande.”

Not only has the album garnered immense praise from the renowned producer’s fan base, but his fellow industry colleagues have also lauded him for presenting an extraordinary piece of art. Taking to Twitter (X), KidX said openly that Makwa’s album is a serious contender for the album of the year.

“@only1makwa’s #Makwande album is a serious contender for album of the year,” wrote KidX. Responding to KidX’s support, Makwa expressed his appreciation to the fellow rapper. “I appreciate you King,” wrote Makwa.

Makwande album came after Makwa released ’16S91′ back in 2021. Prior to that, Makwa and KidX have worked together on quite a number of tracks the notable one being the widely acclaimed Mtan ‘Omuntu.

“Makwande” is currently available on all major streaming platforms, and fans are encouraged to immerse themselves in the rich musical journey it has to offer. The body of work consists of notable features with Stino Le Thwenny coming through on the track titled “Obatla Something.”
