Whilst a lot of the musicians in the country do not appreciate people downloading their music for free on the internet, there are some who sympathise with the masses. We have seen artists like K.O and Tshego share their distaste at fans downloading their music on Fakaza.
DJ Maphorisa is not one to complain about this as he has from time to time showed support to the site for sharing his music. He recently went on Twitter to share his analogy for people who download his music on Fakaza and people who buy using Android and Apple as his case for argument.
“There’s two people in SA -Android and iPhone, note neh. Android people download music for free but still use data so its not for free “Fakaza” iPhone people have no choice to buy apple music,iTunes,Spotify etc. So combine the two hence iam winning i did my research,” tweeted the DJ.
