Gigi Lamayne Lands Number 1 Spot On Radio With ‘Feelin’ U’ Off New Album Out Now! Rapper Gigi Lamayne has finally dropped her 19-track album ‘Mermaids and Stuff‘, much to the delight of her fans. The lead single from the album Feelin’ U featuring MiCasa and Blxckie is already out and shows exactly what fans can expect and that’s quality music.

For the album, Gigi has collaborated with some powerful queens such as Nadia Nakai, Sho Madjozi and Moozlie. The guys have not missed out on the opportunity of working with Gigi, she has features from Blazklez and Kabomo to name a few. “I have always wanted to work with Sho Modjozi, Nadia Nakai, and Moozlie. We have been together in the industry for many years, so it made sense to put them as part of my journey. I needed to feature more women than men and empower each other as they are powerful women with powerful stories to tell,” Gigi told Drum.

Gigi’s album ‘Mermaids and Stuff’ aims to empower female artists and have them continue to make their marks in the hip hop industry. The independent artist has grown in the industry and her fans have watched her climb the ladder of success as she owned her path in the hip hop industry. Gigi was previously signed to Ambitiouz Records until her departure in 2018. 

Not only has Gigi been busy with her music, but she also bagged a fruitful partnership with Chateau Del Rei another step, she has taken in growing the business that is Gigi. “It’s been a long time coming and I’m so proud to announce that I’m part of this amazing family!” shared Gigi when she announced her partnership with the sparkling wine.

The rapper shared with Slikour on Life how she is an amazing team behind her, which is allowing her to reach new heights, such as reaching number one on the South African charts, which is something that has never happened when she signed to a label.

Gigi has been open about her spiritual journey and this is something that she has infused into her musical journey. The star’s spiritual journey was initially discovered when she was 11 but rediscovered it two years ago. Last year she went on a journey to answer her calling and she came back feeling the best version of herself.

“Before I lived a very purposeless life, and my after is I help people. I help people fix their adversities and it feels absolutely amazing,” she told Drum magazine.
