Duncan Receives Two Award Nominations For His 2019 Singles AmaWeave & Sikelela. KwaZulu Natal Arts & Culture has taken it upon itself to appreciate one of its best standing rappers Duncan Skuva.
The Khaya Lami rapper announced that he has been nominated on two of his singles Sikelela featuring Thee Legacy and AmaWeave featuring Prince Bulo.
The nominations are from Simon Mabhunu Sabela KZN Film & TV awards, the ceremony aims to give rise and appreciation to KZN artists from various sectors including KZN drama series, music (maskandi, house music, rap, kwaito etc.) And local shows.
Duncan couldn’t be more happier at the recognition that he even applauded his close friend DJ Tira who got nominated for Thank You Mr DJ.
“I got 2 nominations for “SIMON MABHUNU SABELA KZN FILM & TELEVISION AWARDS” ..I’m nominated for 2 songs on one category which is “Best use of KZN in a music video. Song Number 1: AmaWeave ft Bulo x Song Number 2: Sikelele. DJ TIRA is only nominated for “Thank You Mr Dj”
The nomination serve as a bounce back to his top status after the issues he experienced with former label. Duncan had his Facebook page repossessed by former label boss Ngane after disgradeemtts that led to separation. He claimed Ngane ordered him to pay R90 000 to have the social media page back.
