Ntukza Weighs In On Nota’s Criticism Over Riky Rick Committing Suicide

Taking to Twitter, Ntukza emerged as the latest rapper to share his opinion in regard to Boss Zonke’s passing. The ex-Teargas member was responding to a video clip where Nota shared his notion on how Riky’s passing has made suicide to be glorified.

In the video, Nota said that we are living in a culture that celebrates black men when he is no more citing the example of the late Steve Biko and Riky Rick getting the BET award when he is no more. “Riky is winning the BET Award he is getting honoured now that he is dead,” he said. “Everything that they are doing now to preserve Riky’s memory is encouraging kids to believe that if they die they are also gonna become superheroes.”

He added; “we’re part of a culture that says to celebrate black men they are dead, look at all the greatest black men, Steve Biko. We celebrate black men when they are dead, and the ones that are alive we demonize them. We demonize them until they die or they quit.”

Ntukza vehemently agreed with the controversial Baloyi stating that Riky’s team must do away with the “We Never Die We Multiply” phrase. “Spot on Nota. Respectfully, Riky’s team needs to do away with this ‘We never die, we multiply’ It’s cringeworthy every time I hear it,” he tweeted.

Riky Rick passed away last year in February and the rapper’s life and contribution to SA Hip Hop will forever be cherished in the culture.
