The award-winning local rapper went on a social media rant towards an upcoming artist who appears to be tired of waiting for the rapper to listen to his beats.

AKA took to social media to share e a message he received from an upcoming artist who had reached his waiting period. In their message, the upcoming artist told the “Fela in Versace” hitmaker that he was tired of having to beg him to listen to his beat. “I’m done begging you to listen to my beats I’m done begging you for anything,” wrote the upcoming rapper.

Responding to the upcoming artist, AKA revealed that he did not get a free pass to be in the same studio with Khuli Chana and Pro Kid. And he had exchanged several numbers in order for the moment to come true. “I had to exchange many numbers before we could even get the CHANCE to be in the same studio as KHULI or KO or Linda … “ he said.

AKA’s response towards the upcoming rapper caught the attention of many on the timeline. DJ Jawz is one of the few prominent figures in SA hip hop who managed to share his thoughts on the issue. The acclaimed DJ highlighted that even though he is ready to assist upcoming artists to do well, it’s different from some of his peers in the game. He indicated that some artists will get assistance and others will have to find the way on their own.
