In a recent interview shared on Slikour On Life Instagram page, Sjava gave a backstory and what inspired the song “My Life” featuring Emtee and Lolli Native. The rapper said that the whole song was inspired by the late Kwaito star Mandoza. “The whole song, ‘My Life’ was inspired by Mandoza’s vibe and aura,” he said.

The rapper further said that his fans are very much aware of how much Mandoza meant to him and he still looks up to him even now. “My followers know how much Mandoza meant to me. I used to look up to him and still look up to Mandoza up to now.”

Talking about the album and why he made it in that way, the rapper stated that Isibuko is an album that someone can listen to by themselves and have a self-reflection on themselves. “I decided to make an album for someone who will listen to it by themselves, and speak to them. The music you play when you’re alone is usually not what everybody plays,” he added.

Sjava has made an impact in the Mzansi entertainment industry and he has shown that he is a man of many talents. The rapper has also appeared in a number of television drama films and series, including uGugu no Andile and Zone 14. He gained fame for his singing abilities after featuring on the popular song ‘Ameni’ in 2015.
