New Music Friday: Gemini Major Releases Long-Awaited EP, Makwa ft Kwesta, Mpura, and Sir Trill In llokishi. The curtains came down when we closed 2021 getting into the new year. Malome Vector opened the year with the first hip hop album “Karabo.” That might have unlocked a floodgate of SA hip hop music as some rappers started dropping one after the other.

Gemini Major long-awaited EP is now officially out. The project was revealed in July last year and the wait is finally over. The EP has seven tracks in total, including guest appearances from Focalistic, Dunnie, NS3, and Manu WorldStar. Gemini defined the project as “nothing but vibes for your body and spirit” when he initially outlined how it was coming together.

The Piano superstar Tee Jay has teamed up with Makwa to record a new song called “Ilokishi,” which has contributions from Sir Trill, Kwesta, and Mpura. “Makwa has revealed on social media that the track is now available on all music platforms.
