As the nation faces socioeconomic disparities, political unrest, and a dwindling international reputation, the escalating crime rate is one of the most pressing concerns. Renowned rapper K.O., whose music often reflects the realities of life in South Africa, has raised his voice on the country’s massive decline.

Taking to Twitter, the Skhanda World boss expressed concerns over the direction in which South Africa is headed. Even though the rapper praised democracy, he also questions the current leadership. “Apartheid was inhumane and deserved to be abolished.

Thank you for democracy but damn, did we deserve this type of leadership?? Watching the decay and degeneration of this country in real time is crushing. Some African states are progressing, we’re regressing… Lord help us.” Tweeted K.O.

As if that wasn’t enough, K.O turned to Instagram and published a photo of a luxurious car, claiming that it doesn’t make economic sense to buy one given the state of SA’s roads. “I miss the days when one could buy any type of car they wanted in this country smh… makes zero economic sense these days buying a luxury sedan in SA given the state of our national roads 4x4s kuphela. our country is really gone, folks.” A distraught K.O wrote.
