Rouge is one of the artist who have expressed concern regarding the lockdown, mainly how the government should compensate citizens. The cry was on artists who won’t be able to land gigs or have them postponed until further notice. It’s a set up of a no work no pay.
“Do you understand how hard it is to even see a gold plaq and that’s like 10000 sales. Alot of artists are living paycheck to paycheck. Maybe this will let south Africa understand how important it is the not fakaza shit and stream and buy,” she wrote expressing concern on being locked down.
She added on how lucky DJz are for being able to make it through with their online creativity. The likes of Maphorisa and Major League DJz have been doing the most during the lockdown.
