Many South African rappers boast compelling stories, and Yanga Chief stands tall among them, with an extensive and impressive music catalogue. The rapper has released a slew of hit songs and his hit track ‘Ntoni Na’ is among the tracks that grabbed the limelight upon its release in 2021.

In the collaboration for “Ntoni Na,” the seasoned rapper spotlighted the musical talents of Blxckie and 25K, cementing his position as one of the South African rappers making significant contributions to the culture.

However, taking to Instagram, Yanga Chief revealed that he wrote the song whilst on a plane to PE, a reminder that artists can get creative spontaneously. “I wrote Ntoni Na on the plane to PE window seat to a whole different beat. Issa gold record going plat,” Yanga Chief said.

Yanga Chief’s collaboration choices seem deliberate, as he selected Blxckie, who was immersed in an intense creative phase while preparing for B4Now Deluxe, and 25K, who had recently released the “Pheli Makaveli” album. The collaboration has achieved remarkable success on music streaming platforms, amassing over 1 million plays on both Spotify and YouTube.
