Emtee Reacts To The #SAMAs28 Following Controversy In SAMPRA Artist Of The Year Award. The just-ended SAMAs28 was marred with mixed reactions, and taking from the social media reactions it looked like the bad overweighed the good. One of the biggest music award ceremonies turned into a circus with some of the winners not turning up for the event, whilst others slammed the event organizers for sabotage.

The audience believed they had had enough of the badly organized event, but little did they know that there would be more contentious moments ahead. Emtee who was one of the SA rappers nominated for the Best Hip hop Awards and SAMPRA Artist Of The Year was present despite some of his peers snubbing the event.

Taking to Twitter after the awards ceremony, the rapper described the whole event as a comedy show. “Just came from a comedy show,” tweeted Emtee. Emtee’s description of the SAMAs28 came after Haksul MUZIQ was named the artist of the year. Haksul MUZIQ was competing with Emtee and A-Reece one of the best artists in SA hip hop amongst others.

Emtee was not the only one who slammed the award ceremony, especially after Haksul MUZIQ victory. Black Twitter overdrive and started to investigate who Haksul MUSIQ is. Taking from their findings, the artist of the year has fewer followers on YouTube than most of his fellow nominees, including, Emtee, A-Reece and Makhadzi.
