K.O’s SETE Featuring Blxckie & Young Stunna Breaks Local & International Record On Radio Charts. K.O. has demonstrated this year that he will always rank among the greatest South African rappers to have performed on a broader stage. As much as more new music is now being released at a fast pace as we head towards the end of the year, none of the new releases has managed to surpass the dominance of Sete on radio charts. Taking to Instagram, the Radio Monitor announced that Sete has become the first song to remain top of the charts for 12 consecutive weeks both locally and internationally on the official airplay chart.

BREAKING NEWS!! – @mrcashtime @youngstunna_rsa @blxckie_ SETE becomes the first ever song (local or international) to stay in the #1 position for 12 consecutive weeks on the official @radiomonitorsa airplay chart. Congratulations on a new record!! #k.o #youngstunna #blxckie,” read the post.

K.O. had a distinct idea of what he intended to accomplish with his single. The rapper made it plain that his goal was to combine hip-hop and amapiano by bringing performers from various fields. “I had an idea to bring together artists from various spaces, which resulted in a collaboration from the amapiano sphere with Young Stunna, hip hop/trap sphere with Blxckie, and of course, I came through with the Skhanda sound.” He said as per IOL publication.

As we now brace up for the festive mood, the question that is still to be answered is, will SETE be the song of the year? The single has been nominated for the song of the year award at the forthcoming SA Hip Hop Awards and it will be facing competition from Blxckie’s Sneaky featuring A-Reece amongst others.
