Yesterday would have marked the 36th birthday of the late rapper, and in commemoration, his family and friends dedicated time to reflect on and celebrate his enduring legacy as the Supa Mega. Taking to Instagram, AKA’s lover Nadia Nakai posted a video capturing the moments spent with AKA’s family at the rapper’s gravesite. The visit was a heartfelt tribute in remembrance of his celestial birthday.
In her post, Bragga conveyed the pain of commemorating AKA’s birthday at his gravesite as she sent 36 balloons as a tribute to the late rapper. Nadia was with Kairo Forbes, AKA’s daughter, as well as AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, and mother, Lynn Forbes.
“Happy Heavenly Birthday @akaworldwide we all miss you so much! ♾️ Got 36 balloons to send to you, and in true Kairo fashion they had to be biodegradable to not harm the environment… Today is painful.” Wrote Nadia Nakai.
Before AKA’s celestial birthday, Bragga unveiled a poignant tribute song titled Never Leave featuring Kashcpt. The track serves as a personal diary for Nadia Nakai, encapsulating her emotions as a heartfelt homage to AKA. Currently, the Money Back hitmaker is working on an album and she described the experience as the hardest thing ever to do in his life.
” I started this project a month after he passed in hopes that it would heal me or take away my pain. It didn’t, but it started the journey of my healing as the album evolved from when I started to what it is now.” She said.
