As the country gears up for the Freedom Day celebration, the rapper will be rubbing shoulders with the powers that be in government. Taking to Twitter, the Kwaito star announced that he will be with the Minister in Klerksdorp to commemorate one of the biggest days in the history of South Africa.

This Thursday I will be in Klerksdorp with Minister @zizikodwa. Freedom Day is about knowledge so that we do not forget ourselves and our history. Older than the pyramids are the Klerksdorp Spheres, over 1 billion years old, while science says mankind is significantly younger.” Tweeted Zola 7.

The Minister believes Zola 7 is a South African icon, and he is excited to be working with him in his area. “Bonginkosi Dlamini is South Africa’s icon, and one of our most talented stars.
