‘They Tried To Sign Me For R200K,’ Says Tellman! It’s been a long way from the time we first got introduced to Tellaman on the Okmalumkoolkat feature. The artist has been making waves ever since because of the uniqueness of his music.

Apparently the Strike A Pose artist has been allegedly offered a record deal worth R200K as a signing fee but refused to take the deal. The artist did not specify which record label was interested in signing him but clearly decided to remain independent.

“They tried to sign me for 200k and I turned them down.. ,” tweeted Tellaman. A lot of people have jumped into record deals later regretting the rash decisions they make. Although there are those instances, staying an independent artist also means you don’t have a major company backing you.
